Dear Liz,

There's an envelope in the mail to you. Ready for backing, batting and binding. Forgot to put in note: there were no requests or fabrics. I just put it in the post today so it will be a little while.

Change of plans

I had to re-design my round as I didn't like the results. In the end it is fabulous. Wish I could keep this one! I'll be posting it in the mail on Monday.

Would you believe?

i still don't have a quilt room, or a place to sew.  The flood was in August, 8 months ago.

But now I do have a lot of fabrics, both donated and some of mine that have been laundered and saved.  And a dining room table at least.

I will have to spend this next week on this project........my daughter will produce our first grandchild on May 1.  So my time will be spend bugging her to see the baby.

Who knew I'd ever like a baby so much, even when I haven met him yet!

I do love Cotton Robin

The center with one border now has two. I probably have to "admire" it over the weekend before I pack it up and mail it on Monday to Traceyann in Canada. That was a fun project to do.

The Robineer who is sending a piece for quilting/finishing to me ... go ahead as soon as you are finished. I will be gone all of June. Don't really want to make you all wait for me if possible.

As for allergies ... when I left Germany 42 years ago, I had not heard of anybody having allergies. Now being 68 I just have found out that yellow pollen from pines don't like me. Yuck! At least it is not sweet animals. My daughters have dogs and a cat and of course I want to visit with them.

Happy sewing to all.

Cotton Robin

Hi Julie,  I have no allergies, except maybe to houseworkšŸ˜‹. I have no pets.

Hi Sophie, I still haven't received a  pkg from you.  Have you had a chance to mail it yet?  No hurry, just want to be sure it isn't lost.

Kate

Just returned from a cruise down the Panama Canal so I am checking in on all my things.  Kate, did you get my package?

Cats!

It has come to my attention that at least one Robineer is quite allergic to cats and had a strong reaction to the parcel she recently received.   I'm sorry to say that I hadn't really thought about this before, although since I currently have three cats in the house and volunteer for a cat rescue/adoption organization, it really should have occurred to me!

So I'm wondering if, in future robins, there's a way to structure it so that allergic persons don't receive packages from homes with cats...  To that end, an informal survey:

- do you have cats in your home?
- are you allergic to cats?
- anything else you're allergic to that might be affected by this swap?

Please respond by comment or email to me.

(I should add that, although I diligently keep all cats out of my stash, they do occasionally notice if I've left fabric out on a flat surface, and they don't have any qualms about claiming it for a nap-spot.)

Thanks,

Julie
