Received from Cathy from Canada

Wish this block with the two fantastic borders was mine to keep.At least I get to finish it and get it to it's rightful owner. She should be very pleased when it arrives! I can hardly wait to see my wh. Since we were given the challenge from Julie my block was very different from my usual style.

Second Border

Well, I've added a round to the piece I had waiting and am happy with how it came out... but it's not off to the post office quite yet as it's been a busy week. Should be good to go on Saturday, though. So, Cathy in Canada - be on the lookout in a week or two!

Round 2 - Check!!!

Well, after about 2-3 "plan B"s, I finally finished the second round.  And it is in the mail to Jay!!!

Quilt sent to Tami

The block with 2 borders is on it's way to Tami in sunny Sunnyvale. Hopefully, it won't take long to hop across the Pacific from New Zealand.

Receipt

Received from Helen in Nashville and it is ready to be quilted.  I have it on my wall so I can think of all the ways it can happen.

In The Mail

Today I mailed a block with two rounds to Laurina in New Zealand.Hope it arrives by the 8th. This Robin has flown by! Here little birdie....

Not Over Yet!

LOL.  That was a close one.  Julie emailed me saying I had skipped a step.  Luckily I had not mailed it yet so I changed the envelope out to go to Liz.  I mailed it yesterday.

I was delayed because I had to get my mom back into Hospice again.  They think this is the decline.  She has had end stage Alheimers for the last 5 years.  Strong in body, but her mind is so gone.

We are ready for the end.

So ready.

block in the mail

I sent my block off to Terry yesterday.  Can't wait to see what I get next to work on.
I mailed my second round block off to Nan today to finish, and I saw a comment that the next one is on the way to me as well.  It is so interesting to see the progression from the starter block on the blog, to seeing what the next three people added.  I can hardly wait to see how they all look finished.

Mailing to Nova Scotia tomorrow

Maria be on the look out!

Mailing It Off!

If all goes as planned I will have mine mailed off tomorrow to Diana in Sweetwater.

I can't believe it is over so soon!

Ready to Quilt ... but First

I found the next quilt in my mailbox today.  I LOVE it! I can't wait to quilt it ... but first, I have to finish the second round on the previous quilt and send it on it's way.  I've been a bit of a scaredy cat–I think I have this great idea and I'm just not sure I cam create something that matches the image of it in my head.  With the next quilt to push me to finish ... I'm going to feel the fear and do it anyway :-)

Second border finished

I hardly hesitated on this one and had the second border done within a few days of receiving the quilt. It's all packaged up and ready to mail - I will hold onto it for a couple of days before sending it out. I always like to make sure there's plenty of time for it to find its way across the Pacific.

Here's a peek - it's been significantly color manipulated so there's little chance that the color scheme will give it away.

Rpund One -- all in!

I've received confirmation that everyone has their round 2 projects to work on -- yay!

The mailing deadline for the next round is May 8.  If you finish early,  please hold off on mailing until at least April 25 -- that we we won't have projects piling up and making people feel guilty...

Please remember to post or email me when you send and when you receive a package, so that I can keep my spreadsheet updated and not have to harass you!

thanks,

Julie

I've been sending emails to Terry Fischer and not getting any response, so I thought I'd try posting... please get in touch and confirm that you received your next project in the mail.  (and let me know if you changed your email address!)
thanks,

Julie

At Long Last

I've sent off my first block finally. Besides laying around feeling sorry for myself being sick, I am very sorry that it took me this long to get this done. I hope the next recipient will not be hampered by the smaller amount of time to work on the block.

I have learned my lesson. I have already started working on my next block.

Block Received and Mea Culpa

I got my block from Canada. Wow, she mailed it the 17th and it got to me the 25th! Looks like I'm going to have fun with this one!

I am so sorry that my first block hasn't been sent yet. I have been sick for 2 weeks. 11 days flat in bed, and back to work now. I can barely drag through the day. I've been able to get most of the block done. I have some hand stitching to do and I hope to send off tomorrow. Very bad luck.
