Some of you have included notes and/or labels with your names on them, so I'm not going to make a huge fuss about anonymity this time -- but I still want to keep the progress photos discreet (if you choose to post them) so that the final quilt is a surprise to the owner.
Just a few other little notes/hints based on observations from last year:
- take a second look to make sure your border is sewn on the way you meant it to be... if it's a checkerboard, did you get the squares in the right order? if it's pictorial, did you attach it right side up? (and if you receive a project to work on and think there's something wrong about it, please ask instead of just plunging in!)
- if you add a border with lots of piecing, please end by stitching a row of basting stitches around the edge to that the seams don't all come undone before the next person has to work on it!
- be mindful that the finished quilts shouldn't end up bigger than about 20" x 20"; if you add a first border that's too big, the second person might not have enough "space" to design a nice border
